If you are a user in a Universal Analytics property, chances are that you received an email from Google on April 3, 2024. In short, Google reiterated that it will begin to turn off API’s and services relating to UA on July 1, 2024. Below is a short summary of what to look out for and what actions you can take.

Why is this important?

If you have any interest in your Universal Analytics data, you must export it from your properties very soon as all customers will lose access to the Universal Analytics interface and API (including with just read-only access), starting on July 1, 2024. After this date, your data will be permanently deleted and non-recoverable.

What do I have to do?
If you use Funnel, don’t sweat it. Even after July 1, 2024 your Universal Analytics data will be safely stored in Funnel, but naturally the data sources will not retrieve any new data. If you have any questions or concerns leading up to the deprecation date, please contact your customer representative at Funnel and we’ll help guide you through any remaining steps.
